My name is Henrik and I am the founder of OAKEA - Stock2u Ltd. and www.stock2u.co.uk
In the nineties, I worked for a large Danish Furniture Manufacturer as an Export manager, developing furniture for British Retailers, Including John Lewis, The Cotswold Co., Harveys, Courts and MFI.
At the beginning of this millennium, I joined Goldcrest Furniture Ltd., one of the leading UK pine furniture manufacturers. As the MD, I worked closely with Key retailers such as John Lewis, Durham Pine and Furnitureland.
Stock2u Ltd. was founded on the 3rd. November 2004. I hope more than 12 years of experience competing and striving in the UK Furniture Industry, has built up sufficient knowledge and network to ensure the superior level of service, quality and value we would like to be known for.
Our Approach to Internet Trading
1) We specialise in the Furniture, we offer, and know it inside out
The whole market is changing rapidly because of the internet, which pretty much enables you - the consumer - to have the whole high street at your fingertips.

2) We are visible
We also aim to be 'visible' as opposed to many of our colleagues, who find it convenient not to have a warehouse or showroom, and not to disclose their trading address(es), let alone their registered company to the public. We operate from our Warehouse/Showroom in Hereford, and anyone who wants to drop in to view the furniture or to have a general chat and a coffee is more than welcome. We take pride in making all information on our company readily available. Our official company name registered with Companies House is Stock2u Ltd., Reg. no. 5276517.
As we recognise the concern many people have, regarding the company's financial strength and ability to deliver, we even make our up-to-date official credit rating public. You can find it at the bottom of any page you are browsing, along with certified information about what a given credit rating means. For this, you will have to click on the Credit Rating ikon.
3) We hold stock
Whereas most web based companies source through a huge number of suppliers (middlemen) and endeavor to offer as wide choice as possible, our sourcing is based around a wish to offer short delivery times or - even better - immediate delivery. Therefore we source direct from the factories and hold stock, or from local stockists with a very effective stock control and immediate deliveries. This gives us the necessary control over products, lead times, quality, handling and communication. An extra bonus is, of course, that we are not burdened with unnecessary costs and holdups associated with dealing through a long supply chain and/or a vast no. of suppliers – and this is clearly reflected in our prices, as well as our service. All items displayed on the site are stock items, and generally held in stock all the time. From time to time an item may be sold out, but in such cases it will be already be in transit.
